LogJack, Code Red Special Edition
|
NOTICE [2001-10-07]: This page will be disappearing soon.
All of the features of the Code Red Special Edition of LogJack have been
incorporated into the latest standard edition of LogJack, and more. For
example, LogJack 1.20 can track any worm, not just Code Red, and respond to
different worms differently. The new LogJack is currently being tested and
will be released in a few days. At that time, this page will be removed
from this server. The new LogJack will be available here.

LogJack is a free
utility for analyzing webserver logs and keeping live statistics updated on
dynamic web pages. It generated reports on webserver usage. The Code Red
Special Edition of LogJack is tailored specifically to track attacks by the
Code Red worm. It can also fire commands back at the attacker, to do nice
things like open their browser with information about the Code Red worm.
LogJack, Code Red Special Edition is available under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
logjack-codered.tar.gz: This archive
contains the logjack-codered.pl script (written in perl, of course), sample
configuration files, support CGI scripts, and miscellaneous documentation
(such as the README file).

Visit the statistics link on my Code Red page for
examples on the use of this program. [Update: The worm attack statistics
now online are no longer generated by the Code Red Special Edition of
LogJack. All the features of that program have bee incorporated into the
latest standard edition of LogJack, version 1.20, which will be available
for download in a few days (once I'm sure it's stable enough for a
release).]
The normal version of LogJack can be found here.
